Ancient Imported Cypriot Terracotta jug. 15th-12th BCE.

The vessel features a piriform body with a narrow cylindrical neck, single loop handle and long tapering spout decorated with concentric circle motifs and horizontal painted bands.

The piece dislays a well balanced form with attractive earthen patina.

Very rare shape and in very good condition, Intact.

Cypriot pottery of this type was widely traded throughout the Eastern Mediterranean and reflects the refined ceramic production of ancient Cyprus.
