Ancient Roman Bell-Shaped Vase With Molded Swirling Pattern. 3rd-4th Century A.D.

Blown glass in a beautiful aged amber tone, complemented by darker color applied handles. this elegant necked vase features a conical body decorated with pattern- molded diagonal swirling ribbing. The vessel rests on a slightly concave base with visible pontil mark. The tubular neck rises to a thick in-folded rim.

Two trails of darker glass are applied at the rim then drawn downward in a graceful curve to attach at the shoulders, forming distinctive looped handles.

The piece is intact and well-preserved.
